I spent some time in the yard on Sunday evening photographing Bella. She doesn't stay in in one place for very long!
I can't believe how quickly she has grown over the summer.
I just noticed that she looks like a three-legged cat in this photo!
Bella and Rascal are quite entertaining when they play late in the evening. I have yet to get any good photos! They race from room to room! It is also our bedtime when they get really wound up!

Dish Love of MIne!
I helped my SIL and a friend with a Church Rummage Sale. I also found some wonderful treasures at good prices! I added 4 cups and saucers to my collection. I adore this iced tea/water pitcher.
My SIL and I shared some glass plates and punch cups. Now we need to have a fancy party! We will probably be using them for our Annual Cookie Exchange. I can't believe that this will be our 9th year for it! AND as we all know, Christmas will be here in no time.
Now, I just need a Butler's Pantry to store all of my dishes in!

Sewing with old jeans!
At the beginning of summer, my hubby and I cleaned out our closets. We had his blue jeans in several closets from the beginning of our marriage! I took several large bags to Goodwill, but I also kept plenty at home for sewing projects. These are the first of my projects. I use the bottom of the legs to make the baby bibs. The next bibs will be for girls with pink bandanas.
I used the back of the jeans for the apron. Part of the legs were also used for the ties. I plan to use the front of the jeans for another apron.

More Bracelets!
I have made two more of the "caterpillar" bracelets. One is Red, Blue and Silver seed beads with crystal rectangular beads.
This bracelet is a mixture of seed beads called chocolate and blue with an assortment of beads on the ends. School is about to start which will put an end to my crafting craze!

Wine Bottle Torches
It rained all day last Sunday. It was a perfect day for working on torches on the patio. I robbed the bottle tree for a few choice wine bottles. We bought the supplies at Lowe's.(The ceiling flange, split ring hanger, cap, reducing coupler, and teflon tape were all in the plumbing department.) Not shown is the torch fuel and spray paint we used to paint the ceiling flange and the threaded rod. We also needed a hacksaw, screwdriver, and pliers. You can find a full tutorial here. It would have been nice to have a bench vise to hold the rods while cutting them with the hacksaw. (That was definitely my husband's job.) He did most of this project. I wrapped the reducing couplers with the teflon tape for a snug fit in the wine bottle and filled them with torch fuel.
So far, we have two on the patio and one on the front porch.

Another Hobby!
I really needed to try another hobby requiring more tools and supplies! I have a friend that is always wearing the cutest beaded bracelets. On our trip to Waco for the Double Toe Jam, she taught me to make one of my favorites, called the "caterpillar".Thank you, Martha!
For me, working with these small beads and thin needles requires magnifying glasses and good lighting. I came across this Ott light at Hobby Lobby on the clearance shelf at 40% off.
This is my completed "caterpillar" bracelet.
I also attended a beading workshop at "Sewing Machines by B & B". This beaded tin was the project.
This was an Altoids mint tin. I will now be collecting empty tins!
The beaded tin was one of many projects in this book.
Now I have a hobby for any mood-beading, sewing, Swedish weaving, crocheting, gardening, etc.
