...make fig preserves. A wonderful friend shared some of these huge figs from her tree with me! I adore fig preserves. So, of course, I made some. That is my son's hand. My arms aren't that hairy!!
Simply cook with equal parts sugar until it begins to thicken.
Add lemon slices.
Yummy.
Y'all come back,

ReplyDeleteYum! I used to love and eat them raw at Granny's house. Fig preserves and pear preserves.....so a part of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteOh yum! I don't believe I have ever had fig preserves, but I do love figs, so I'm sure the preserves must be wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI love figs, but I have never had fig jam. It sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful-looking figs! They are making my mouth water! Thanks for giving us the "recipe" too!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm about a week behind in my posting...I'm with you about that mailbox in the wall. I think it would be great if it opened from the inside as well!
I love figs too. But the ones I remember from our fig tree were large and purple. That jam looks sooo good.
