Egg Study

I think it is so interesting that the chickens actually lay eggs with slightly different shapes. The egg on the left is the usual egg shape. The one on the right is more of an oval shape. O.K. I guess, I don't have much excitement in my life to be so impressed with 2 eggs!

  1. The grocery store has brainwashed us into thinking their eggs are "normal". I like yours much better.

  2. I wonder the same thing about my chicken eggs too, and why do some have brown flecks on them? Cute blog!

  3. Eggs are wonderful things, no? All shapes, sizes, colors...

  4. Cute post. The shape or size doesn't bother me at all. They still are good.
We had a hen when I was a kid that would come to the door & cluck to get in. She would proceed to hop onto the bed & lay an egg---then later she repeated & laid the second egg.
Weird what animals or fowl will do.
    Life is interesting.

  5. You are too funny. What I find even more interesting is why they lay eggs in different colors. What determines the color of the eggs? Anyone out there know? Have a great weekend! Hugs, Loretta

  6. *LOL* I get egg-cited (sorry I couldn't help it) over different sized eggs, too, Lorilee!
I found a green one a few weeks ago that was the size of a gumball! Hubby said, "are you sure a little bird didn't sneak in and lay that one?"
