This garden spider definitely looks happy! I'm pretty sure it is thinking "yummy". There are several garden spiders in my yard now. I don't mind them as long as I see them first instead of walking into the web! Lunch looks a bit like a cicada to me. Ya'll Come Back!

I absolutely adore garden spiders. Their webs are so beautiful. Especially in the morning dew. I use to see many in my yard but it seems that the last two years I've had nothing but lizards instead. I don't know if there is a connection or not. Love your photo.
