They look good! I don't think I will be getting any this year since I think most of daddy's garden dried up from lack of rain. I do still have a few in the freezer though!
I may be a total basket case, but I love shelling beans and peas, and snapping beans. I think it goes back to when I was little, rocking along with mama and helping with this chore..and listening to the old stories. I love gardening and everything about it.. Also, I came to tell you I have an award waiting for you to pick up over on my blog....that is,if you accept awards. I so totally understand if you're award and tag free. Have a most wonderful weekend....
i think shelled peas are so pretty,, kinda weird huh? I've been picking/shelling peas from my dad's garden myself. Its been so hot and we need rain though and some are starting to dry up. Hopefully they'll get a good shower soon.
Boy, do they ever look good. Hhmmmmm
ReplyDeleteWhat kind are they? Can't see too good. Looks like black-eye.

ReplyDeleteMy mom called them Cream peas. The feed store where I buy the seed calls them cowpeas.
ReplyDeleteI pick them while still moist and a little green. If allowed to dry and then be picked and shelled, they are black-eyed peas!
ReplyDeleteWow! They sure do look good!! It is a LOT OF WORK puttin up peas but they are sooooo good too! It will be worth it!!
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
Peas are a lot of work- but so worth it! They look delicious, Lorilee!
ReplyDeleteFor a long time I thought I didn't like peas. Then I tasted them fresh shucked - it was like a whole different vegetable! These look yummy!
ReplyDeleteYou brought back memories of shellin' peas on the porch with my Auntie. I know they will be delicious.
