Hand-picked rocks

I'm working on a garden project that requires rocks! My family came here for rocks, gravel and sand when I was a child. They have the best prices for hand-picked rocks!
I brought my son and his friend along for some helpful muscle. They pretty much just "played"!
They were especially fond of the train trestle!

Teens are so cooperative! I was just mooned by a pair of plaid boxers!
I worked on the garden project yesterday. I am still recovering from lugging rocks and swinging a grubbing hoe! I also need more rocks. I'm not sure if my body can take any more hand-picking rocks just yet. I may need a week of recuperation. This project may take awhile!

Word is spreading!

The other day, I looked out my back window to see one squirrel in my bird feeder and another on my bottle tree. Word is spreading, I usually have only one squirrel filching sunflower seeds!
The squirrel on the feeder left, so the second squirrel decided to take his turn!

Almost there!
Yummy!
MMM mmmm good. My two fierce hunting dogs have now seen the squirrel. They are about to knock down the back door in their excitement to get that squirrel.
Aww, they just missed him! He escaped up into the branches of the tree. I walked out to try and get a photo of him chattering at the dogs. He scared the daylights out of me when he jumped out of the tree, hitting the ground with a loud thump about 10 feet from where I was standing and running to the fence.
With my attention span about the same as Lexi's, (The dog not pictured because she lost interest so quickly) I soon noticed something new of photographic interest. Awesome, lichen on a water hose! I'd say I'm easily entertained!

Wanderings in Waco!

On Sunday morning, we were looking for a church service to attend. We had missed the beginning of one church service, and were attempting to find one of the student chapels. The church service times were changed because of Spring Break so we were too late again! While looking we came across the Baylor Bear Habitat. We returned to have a look after realizing we were too late for the church service.

The habitat featured two black bears. Both were snoozing peacefully!
