First Halloween decorations!

I purchased the "raven" at a local store called "The Market of Victoria" a few weeks ago. When I saw it, I immediately thought of my copy of Edgar Allen Poe short stories with "The Raven". I borrowed the BOO idea from Joy at Joys of Home. She used newsprint to print out the letters for EEK on her computer. She placed them in a triple frame from the dollar store. I had a hard time finding a frame locally! I like her frame better, but mine will do!

  1. How absolutely charming; and how very literate of you! I love to find more ways to work my precious books into the decorations. Dang, I wish I had some of Poe's books, I'll have to keep searching second hand bookstores!
How did you get the newspaper through the printer? I can cut it to size, but is it heavy enough to run through? I love the idea, and I think I have a frame handy!

  2. Nola,
Mine ran through just fine. I was a bit worried about jamming but had no problems! A more worn copy of the book would look better!

  3. I agree. It is so pretty. Especially the way you have it all set up. A little vignette of its very own!
