Eventhough the sun is still fairly high in the sky, it is time to start back to the blinds. Devin, Brian and I head out in the mule. Pop and Grandma Barb are going to hunt in the hilltop blind, which is a short walk from camp.
Brian is texting while we ride. It can't be easy since the road is pretty bumpy!
We decided to swing by the swimming hole to take a look. The sign says, "Hunters will do anything for a buck". Pop had the swimming hole re-dug since it dried up in our current drought.
The swimming and fishing pier is "dry docked" until the swimming hole fills up again!
Brian and Devin are headed down to the water! Pop has been pumping some water into the hole with a generator. We hope to get a windmill on the well in the future.
The wildlife seems to appreciate a water source! These appear to be the tracks of a raccoon. We also have wild hogs there. Pop and Grandma Barb have even seen 2 foxes.Ya'll Come Back Now!

Sounds like ya'll have a lot of fun there. Wouldn't it be great if you could manage to get shots of the foxes!
