It is hummer migrating season! They are appearing in large numbers in South Texas. I have seen several in my yard and several at my school. This photo was taken several years ago when I had about a dozen at one time! I believe the Rockport Hummer/Bird Festival is next weekend. For more info, just google it. I went several years ago and loved it. I'd link to my post about watching hummer banding, but I don't know how! I have much to learn about blogging!
Ya'll Come Back!

Hi Lorilee,
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to see them come in nubers too, maybe three or four at a time. They seem to chase one another though. I think the males do the chasing. We have the ruby throated hummers here. The males are green with a red throat, and the females are brownish speckles. They will be leaving us soon for the Carribean and Mexico. I'll miss seeing them. Have a great day! Hugs, Loretta
How neat! I've only seen one humming bird in my life and that was over 20 years ago - in my back yard.
ReplyDeleteThe most hummingbirds I've ever seen together is two. That's awesome to have 4 flying around.

We are seeing them here too. They do fight up a storm!
ReplyDeleteI am passing on a meme given to me by the Seed Scatterer. She says for you to post on your blog, 7 things about yourself that we don't know. Then pass it along to 7 other blogs, that we would enjoy visiting. And don't forget to link it back to me.
I have seen so many neat blogs because of this meme!
