We have been adding to the bottle tree.
The girls appreciate the nice weather too! They think it highlights their feathers and brings out the rosiness of their combs!
They have stayed busy leaving me an average of 6 eggs each day. (8 chickens) Sometimes I find a mega-egg that barely fits in an egg carton! ( I keep a crumpled plastic bag in the bottom of my bucket to cushion the eggs because I can be clumsy.)
Y'all come back!
Lorilee
They sure look yummy from where I sit. Better yet scrambled. Soft if you please. lol
ReplyDeleteI really like your insulator and bottle tree. I have a bottle tree on my list of things to add into my garden this year. I've been avidly collecting those blue bottles for quite a while now!
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful assortment of insulators (a steal at a yard sale many, many years ago for 1.00 a piece, the poor soul didn't know what he was selling!)unfortunately when we moved to Texas many of them broke in the move. I have 4 left!
Like you I love sunlight through glass...nothing like it! I am loving the sun also and am ready for our "normal" Texas weather to return!!!
Oooohhh! I have lots of insulators that I have collected along a stretch of UPRR NW of Pyramid Lake and SE of Susanville, CA. That would look cool to have a tree like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat type of layers do you have? I'm seriously thinking of getting 5-6 laying hens this spring.
We got some sun today too. Sure felt good. Your hens are beautiful. Mimi
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm definitely making an insulator tree. What a great idea! I also love your photos of the tea-light holders... very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments. But most especially thanks for adopting Honey. There are just so many pets in need.
Your chickens rock!
Blessings,
Necel from the Old House in Texas
My goodness! Enough insulators to fill a tree and I was sooooo proud of my one! Love the insulator tree and the bottle tree. Neat ideas. The lady chick is beautiful!!! And the sun does make her look special. Wish I had room for a few chickens but we have dogs and some of our neighbors have cats so don't think they would last long. Thanks for the sunny post!

ReplyDeleteI have several insulators and I have never seen a better display of them!!!!! Good job!!!
Good morning. Jen told me to come over and see your bottle trees but I already had a link to the last post on my blog to it. I had not seen the newest one though I don't think. Okay if I update my link?
