Hambone happiness!
Yes, I know. It looks as if I only cook on Sundays. During the school year, that is almost true! In any case, I had a hambone frozen from our Christmas ham, and I was hungry for 15 Bean Soup. The bone went into my new stock pot. (I needed a new large pot with a completely flat bottom for the glass top stove.) Next came the beans that had been soaking overnight. After a couple of hours of simmering, I added an onion, a couple of cloves of garlic, a can of diced tomatoes, a bell pepper, a couple stalks of celery, salt, pepper, and a dash of lemon juice. After simmering a bit longer, we had 15 Bean Soup for supper.
