Does any one else buy food just for the jar?

I am a push-over for a pretty jar! My local H.E.B. carried these German mustards for a short time. I had to buy some just for the jars. My great-grandfather, Gottlieb, came to America from a town called Stein on the Rhine River.Oh, and the mustard was great! Has anyone else ever bought something just for the jar?
Y'all come back,

  1. You betcha'. In fact there is a sorghum jar sitting on my table now because I can't bring myself to throw it away. (It is not near as pretty as your mustard jars tho')

  5. Those sure are tempting - so, yes, I might buy the mustard just to get the jar!

  6. I guess so, cause I only buy wine if it's in a blue bottle!

  7. Hi! Those mustard jars are so beautiful! I thought they were salt and pepper shakers, but jars are more versatile. They might make pretty little vases for wildflowers....Thank you for sharing and I would buy them just for the jar too!

  8. Really pretty jars! The nice thing about saving a jar is that you can use it for something else! That's my excuse anyway! :-)

  10. I haven't done that before, but I certainly would if the container was cute enough and collectible enough looking... Heck, why not!
