Mom's needlework

My Mom was always busy. Besides gardening, cooking and baking, she also did various types of needlework, sewing, and crocheting. I recently did some re-decorating and hung some of her needlework in my dining area.
I am trying to follow in her footsteps and hone my embroidery, sewing and crocheting skills along with gardening, cooking and baking!
She was my best friend. She has been gone 15 years now. I still miss her.
Y'all come back,
Lorilee

  2. My mum did all the same . Home made baking , cooking , gardening , canning, sewing, embroidery knitting , crocheting you name it she could do it ! My mum was in England during the 2nd world war and had to learn all this as it was a way of survival, then they moved here to Canada just after the war and brought all her crafts here and did them on the farm I was raised on ! I miss my mum to and yes she was my best friend also ! They live on in our hearts and our memories . Thanks for sharing ! Have a good week !

  3. Your Mom had a lot of talent...sometimes needle work gets dismissed because people don't appreciate it as much as they should. She make some lovely creations.

  4. I am looking for a copy of the Heart Chains pattern, Swedish Weaving, pictured in red on white monk cloth. I have even contacted Leisure Arts, and they say it is probably so old they no longer have it. I gave you an email address the other day but it has lapsed. Please use stevejg4@comcast.net. I would be happy to pay for pattern. I was given a partially worked afghan, but without the directions! I would dearly like to finish this piece.
