I actually awoke early on Sunday morning by choice. After my weekday alarm setting of 4:45 a.m., I usually sleep in on the weekend. Of course, 6:30 or 7:00 is still sleeping in by comparison. It was a nice morning-not hot and muggy! I decided to spend some time outside and enjoy it. Beasty decided to sit in my garden sink!
The banana or garden spiders are prolific in my yard this year. One is right alongside the gate leading into the chicken run! My sweety doesn't like spiders! They give him the creeps!
Their webs are beautiful.
I had a surprise this morning. At first I thought it was a piece of grass wound through the fence. It is non-venomous, so no worries!
Beautiful pictures- the spider one is freaky but I still they they are beautiful... I used to see those kind of spiders all the time around here, but I've only seen one this year. (And that's enough for me!)
I teach 4 year olds during the school year. In my spare time(haha), I enjoy clogging, gardening, sewing, cake decorating, and old things! I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sons, ages 27 and 17!
We have 2 dogs (Honey and Lexi), a rabbit (Chewey),three cat (Samson, Rascal and Bella) and 7 chickens. The hens are Blossom, Buffy, Scarlet, and Matilda. I had on roo, Gottlieb. Then I let Buffy sit on some eggs and I ended up with 2 more roosters. My coop is called Cackleberry Cottage.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit. I enjoy sharing all the wonderful "little things" that make life so special! Say hello and leave a comment!

Spiders and snakes! I could handle the spider but, the snake would send me running.
ReplyDeleteIt's spider season here, too, Lorilee. Hard to admire them from a distance. You have to get up close, right?
ReplyDeleteSnakes are extremely rare here, thank goodness.
Ah the joys of living in the country! That spider looks like a big one. Mimi
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of "Daddy Long Legs" around here. They are usually on the screen doors at night. Thankfully, I have not seen a snake in years!

ReplyDeleteHi there...thanks for your visit. I like the webs but not the spiders and I do not like snakes bigger than a water snake! Beasty is so cute! ;D
