To Grandmother's House we went

Brian (teenager) and I went to my Grandma's house to help clean inside her kitchen cabinets. It has been awhile since I've helped with that job, but it was a summer tradition when I was growing up. She was in a "cleaning out " mood and gave me several boxes of dishes, AND she still has LOTS in her cabinets! Above are some Fire King saucers.
-glass coasters,

Forest Green glasses and pitcher,

Queen Mary bowls, (Grandma used these for homemade icecream!)

Old Cafe bowl,

Queen Mary divided dish,

Forest Green, but I don't know the pattern...

blue cups and saucers, another pattern I can't identify...

more bowls, this time I think the pattern is Burple,

A bowl marked "Maddux" and 1959...

Opalescent Hobnail dish,

Jelly or jam serving set,

Covered Compote.
I think I inherited my love of dishes from my Grandma Bessie! If I have any patterns incorrectly identified or you know a pattern that I didn't identify, please let me know.
Y'all Come Back,

  1. Those are so nice. It's hard to find anything that nice anymore. You are so lucky.
I have a few pieces that are old.

  2. That is such a nice collection. I really like the jam/jelly dish.

  3. I love dishes too!!

You really hit the mother lode!!! hahaha

I love the green pitcher and glasses!

  4. You really got some beautiful dishes.
I really would like to have that jam/jellie jar.
    have a great day.

  5. Enjoyed seeing these. What a treasure trove!

  6. Great stuff!! Hope you never have to move and down-size like I did. But I did try to hang on to most of my "old" inherited stuff. Enjoy. Use them!! Take care and God Bless.

  7. WOW- gorgeous pieces! I love the blue teacups and saucers, but my favorite is the green pitcher and glasses! Those are beautiful!
