Inherited dishes!

My Sweety's Grandmother recently went into a nursing home. After her house was broken into twice, the family began to empty the house and find new homes for many of her belongings. We are taking care of some glassware.

My Sweety is thrilled to have his Great-Grandfather's humidor and pipe stand with a pipe.

  2. Ooh, what beautiful things. I especially like the glass dog - stunning! Although it's sad when a family member has to move into a home, it's also great that the belongings are staying in the family. Even just a few items passed down in a family can mean so much.

  3. How wonderful that you got so many of those lovely things! I got a lot of that kind of stuff from my grandmothers and I love it. The pipe thing is very precious to me. My Dad had one but he gave up smoking the pipe many years before he passed away. I guess my mother threw it out...but I wished we kept it! :)

  4. Giving things away from Grandma's house is a hard thing to do. But you did get some cute things. Mimi
