I have added to the height of the fence and clipped flight feathers on their wings, yet they still get out. I think I have Houdini Hens! I guess I'll just feed them well and hope they get too fat to fly!
Yes, I am talking about YOU!
Ahh, it is the lure of bugs that you find so tempting!
Awwww! They got so big! When will they start laying eggs? Maybe they will stay in the coop area once they start laying. The expression on their faces cracks me up! Hugs, Loretta
I teach 4 year olds during the school year. In my spare time(haha), I enjoy clogging, gardening, sewing, cake decorating, and old things! I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sons, ages 27 and 17!
We have 2 dogs (Honey and Lexi), a rabbit (Chewey),three cat (Samson, Rascal and Bella) and 7 chickens. The hens are Blossom, Buffy, Scarlet, and Matilda. I had on roo, Gottlieb. Then I let Buffy sit on some eggs and I ended up with 2 more roosters. My coop is called Cackleberry Cottage.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit. I enjoy sharing all the wonderful "little things" that make life so special! Say hello and leave a comment!

ReplyDeleteGod bless.
*LOL* I've had a few of those Houdinis, too! They just seemed determined to "break out" don't they?
ReplyDeleteThey are turning into beautiful hens, Lorilee!
That's one chick with a lot of personality!

How pretty, I love the colors, I don't think I've ever seen a chicken that color before.
