Blooms and a Butterfly!

This little plant was a sweet surprise. I bought one last summer and planted it. It must have self-seeded. I know it as Balloon Flower.

The Balloon Flower now opened!
I have had many Black Swallowtail and Gulf Fritillary butterflies in my garden the last few days. I managed to catch this Gulf Fritillary on a zinnia.

I made a trip to our local HEB Plus for some groceries and found this white Canna. I love the pink specks!

Ya'll Come Back!

  1. The HEB Plus sells plants? How terrific; we have one, but no plants, ours isn't Plus.
The balloon flower is beautiful; I love blue.

  2. I love the shot of the butterfly on the zinnea. Just beautiful. I think I have balloon flower in my garden too. You know I don't even remember some of the things I planted. Now that I think about it I think it is bell flower I have. I wish they would hurry up and bloom so I can post some pictures for you to enjoy! Hugs, Loretta
