Paintbrush Compulsive Disorder!

It all started with the simple job of painting the new back door we had installed earlier this spring. When I get a paintbrush in my hand, I start contmplating painting everything in sight! I decided to paint the adirondack chairs. The lone footrest has yet to get it's paint. I love the new look.
Now, this is my potting shed a.k.a. "barn". The trim is Aurora Brown (Sherwin Williams). The shutters are Acadian and the main color is Windsor Greige.(also S.W.) Our house is a brick similar to the Aurora Brown with trim in Windsor Greige and front door and shutters in Acadian.

The question is--Should I paint this table the Acadian or Windsor Greige color? Or should it be the same as the chairs?
I am leaning toward the Acadian "green" color. My sweety just rolls his eyes about the whole business! He does NOT like to paint. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think! Of course, I may still just do as I please!

  1. Any of the colors would look great. If you want it to blend paint it the same color as the chair if you want it to pop paint it the shutter color.
Beautiful job. I love to paint too. I paint anything that sits still.

  2. Lorilee I love shutter color. So fresh and clean looking. That would be my choice. It seems like it would go well with the tabletop and with the birdies and house on the table too. Can't wait to see the finished table. Hugs, Loretta

  3. I like the green color.

I'm the same way when I get pruners in my hand... not a tree or bush is untouched when I'm done.

  4. Things are looking good aroung the Cackleberry Cottage! I do the same thing when I paint....start looking for MORE things to paint. My thought is....I have the paint out...might as well keep painting.

Can't wait to see what you decide.

  6. Ooooh I love the color you painted those chairs, Lorilee... I think I would match the table to them. But you will make it look pretty either way, I'm sure!

  13. The writer of cackleberrycottage.blogspot.com has written a superior article. I got your point and there is nothing to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not disagree with: As more information is distributed via the 'net, the less knowledge is gained from the net I will be back.
