Mockingbirds are pretty plentiful in my yard. They are attracted to water, suet, and any tomatoes in my garden! This one is at the fountain just outside our living room window. Ya'll Come Back! Lorilee
You made me think of the movie "Failure to Launch" where the room mate is trying to murder the Mockingbird and then when she almost does it she is giving him CPR. Anyway that is just how my weird mind works. What a sweetie bird and what a lovely photo you took. Roberta Anne
We had a mockingbird last year in the yard...I haven't heard it in 2 months. Must not like our winter. :) I hope he comes back in the spring. It was fun to listen to him.
I don't think I have ever had a mockingbird in my yard. I will have to see if we have any in Rhode Island. I love your bottle tree! For the first time in years our Christmas tree was picked up by the town. I may have to go into the woods and see if I can find an old one from Christmas pasts. denise
WE HAVE A MOCKINGBIRD THAT SPENDS EVERY SUMMER IN OUR YARD. I LOVE TO LISTEN TO THEM IMITATE THE CARDINALS AND OTHER BIRDS. THEY ARE ALOT OF FUN. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT PICTURE. I DIDN'T KNOW THEY LIKED TOMATOES. BLESSINGS debbie
I teach 4 year olds during the school year. In my spare time(haha), I enjoy clogging, gardening, sewing, cake decorating, and old things! I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sons, ages 27 and 17!
We have 2 dogs (Honey and Lexi), a rabbit (Chewey),three cat (Samson, Rascal and Bella) and 7 chickens. The hens are Blossom, Buffy, Scarlet, and Matilda. I had on roo, Gottlieb. Then I let Buffy sit on some eggs and I ended up with 2 more roosters. My coop is called Cackleberry Cottage.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit. I enjoy sharing all the wonderful "little things" that make life so special! Say hello and leave a comment!

ReplyDeleteI don't think we have mockingbirds in Utah. At least they don't look like this if we do. Mimi
