Thank you to all who left sympathetic comments for my poor Oprah. I let Ethel and Aretha out of the pen while I watered and pulled weeds this afternoon. They love to scratch around. I am looking for a few more chicks. I would like a couple of "Easter Egger" chicks. They lay blue/green eggs.

I have to type left handed but I wanted to stop by and see what you are doing.

Is that Angel's Trumpet already blooming? Brenda shared one with me that her neighbor had shared with her, but mine's only about a foot tall, no hint of bloom yet!
ReplyDeleteThat Chinese fringe is a new one for me - very pretty. Enjoy the blooms!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you lost Oprah. Never heard of the blue/green eggs. I live in the country and have never had chickens of my own - but I sure would like to build me a coup. I would be worried about the fox in the woods though. I am going to look into getting some chicks. Love your blog. You are invited to check out mine.
ReplyDeleteI love that Chinese Fringe Flower. I'll have to check if I can grow that in my zone. It'll be June before we have flowers like yours.
ReplyDeleteLove the Angel Trumpet. I have a dbl purple one. It bloomed for me last yr. I can't detect a smell. I grew it from seed. I also have a dwarf white one. I really like them but have to be careful as I have ggs's playing around.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, Lorilee!
ReplyDeleteWe still only have bulbs blooming up here in Northern Nevada. Although the trees are starting to bloom! I have a weeping cherry that is loaded...just hope it waits one more week, as we're to have snow tonight!
