Good-bye Lucy

Poor Lucy died this afternoon. I buried her just outside Cackleberry Cottage and the chicken's pen.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear about losing Lucy. I am very attached to my animals and it tears me up to think of losing one of them; I know you must be terribly sad, too. Just remember all the good memories!

  4. Aww. I'm sorry for your loss. We lost a couple small hogs to the darn dogs yesterday so I'm right there with you on being sad over critters.

  6. I'm sorry to hear about your bird! I've raised chickens and peacocks before and know the dangers they face and how sad it is to lose them.

  8. How sad. I read the story behind Lucy's untimely departure.

    A friend of mine had chickens in the past and lived in the country and had a similar treat to her chickens. She had hesr fully covered and also put things on the fences around them, like tin cans dangling around it and it use to make noise when ever something came over the fence.

    The Bobcat must be really hungry.
