Happy, Happy! I have goldfinches at my feeder! I also spotted a White-eyed Vireo today. They are tiny and fast moving, so no photo--I will try if I see them again. I need to ask Santa for a zoom lens for my camera. I cropped the photo to make the birds seem closer/larger. In the process, sharpness suffered! When the the birds are active outside, I am NOT active--too busy watching them! Ya'll Come Back! Lorilee
Beautiful birds!! My mother in law gets so many where she lives... I watched them for hours when we were visiting! I'm quite jealous... birds won't come to visit my feeder or bath! lol
How pretty!!! Maybe I'm just not paying attention...but I don't think I've seen those in the Houston area....what part of Texas do you live in? Good luck on the great bird photo hunt...and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hi Lorilee, I didn't know these aren't common in Texas, hubby (a texan) and I have 3 pair. A cute story- one of the males come to the shepard's hook and does a loud, long "cheep" for his mate. (lookout for bluejays) Once she comes, he slides of the hook! Following the round part! So cute!
I teach 4 year olds during the school year. In my spare time(haha), I enjoy clogging, gardening, sewing, cake decorating, and old things! I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sons, ages 27 and 17!
We have 2 dogs (Honey and Lexi), a rabbit (Chewey),three cat (Samson, Rascal and Bella) and 7 chickens. The hens are Blossom, Buffy, Scarlet, and Matilda. I had on roo, Gottlieb. Then I let Buffy sit on some eggs and I ended up with 2 more roosters. My coop is called Cackleberry Cottage.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit. I enjoy sharing all the wonderful "little things" that make life so special! Say hello and leave a comment!
